The meeting between the Azerbaijani government representatives and the group of leaders of the opposition parties kicked off at Baku International Press Centre on Feb.12.

The Head of the Public and Political Issues Department of Azerbaijan's Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov, his deputy Tahir Suleymanov, sector head at the department Elman Pashayev are participating in the dialogue.

Moreover, the meeting is being attended by chairman of Azerbaijan Democratic Party Sardar Jalaloglu, chairman of Democratic Reforms Party of Azerbaijan Asim Mollazade, chairman of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party Yusif Bagirzade, head of the Azadliq Party Ahmad Oruj, chairman of the National Revival Movement Party Faraj Guliyev, chairman of the Classical Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan Mirmahmud Miralioglu, head of the Great Establishment Party Fazil Mustafa, chairman of the United Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Citizens and Development Party Ali Aliyev, head of the Party Great Azerbaijan Party Elshad Musayev, chairman of Umid Party Igbal Aghazade, chairman of the Aydinlar Party Gulamhuseyn Alibeyli and others.

The first dialogue between the country's authorities and the opposition was held on Dec.13, 2014 with the participation of the Head of the Public and Political Issues Department of Azerbaijan's Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov.

During that meeting, the sides discussed the issues related both to the Azerbaijani government, political parties and the activities of media outlets. Moreover, they had discussions on financing the political parties, providing them with headquarters, participation in the elections and other issues.

Both sides emphasized the great importance of continuing such meetings on regular basis in the future.
