Novruz Mammadov, the deputy head of the Azerbaijani presidential administration, chief of the administration's foreign relations department has commented on the interview of Emin Huseynov with Christiane Amanpour, the chief international correspondent for CNN.
"Well, have not we all realized how "just and great" of a journalist CNN's Amanpour was? She finally seized a chance to deliver to the attention of the international community the greatest event," the top official tweeted June 24.
"She was so anxious to finally find a guy named Emin Huseynov that she dedicated good 10 minutes to that conversation," Mammadov added.
For CNN, this was the "biggest event" happening in Azerbaijan in recent years, according to the top official.
"Now they will start glorifying Emin Huseynov. While Amanpour deserves a Nobel prize," he wrote.
