Azerbaijani, Turkish, Turkmen FMs to hold trilateral meeting

The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan will discuss important political and economic issues in Antalya August 28, the Turkish foreign ministry said.

The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan will discuss important political and economic issues in Antalya August 28, the Turkish foreign ministry said.

The sides will also consider the implementation of the decisions taken at previous meetings.

Moreover, the foreign ministers of these countries will hold bilateral meetings in Antalya.

The previous meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan Elmar Mammadyarov, Mevlut Cavusoglu and Rashid Meredov was held in Kuwait in May 2015 as part of the 42nd session of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The first meeting in this format was held in Baku in 2014. Baku Declaration was adopted following this meeting.

The cooperation of the countries covers a wide range of issues, including energy, tourism, humanitarian sphere and politics.

There are such formats of meetings as Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia, Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran. The summits of foreign ministers and presidents of these countries were held.
