The Azerbaijani armed forces launched the large-scale military exercises to check the combat readiness of all kinds of troops Sept. 6, the Azerbaijani defense ministry said.
The exercises will last until September 13. Some 65,000 personnel representatives, about 700 items of military equipment, more than 500 rockets and artillery, some 40 airplanes and 50 helicopters of the air forces, some 20 naval vessels and cutters, as well as air defense and anti-aircraft divisions, equipped with modern air defense complexes were involved, the statement said.
The drones will be also used during the exercises to carry out an aerial reconnaissance.
