Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has expressed condolences to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin over the casualties in Severnaya mine explosion.
"I was deeply saddened by the news of a heavy loss of life in an explosion in the Severnaya mine in Vorkuta," said the president.
"On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to you, families, relatives of the dead and all the people of Russia, and wish those injured a swiftest possible recovery," President Aliyev added.
