Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed condolences to Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the heavy loss of lives as a result of a violent terrorist attack in Ankara.
"We are deeply saddened by the news of a heavy loss of lives as a result of a violent terrorist attack in the city of Ankara. We are extremely outraged by this horrible tragedy, resolutely condemn terrorism and emphasize the necessity of fighting against it in the fiercest manner.
On the occasion of this tragedy, on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I extend my deep condolences to you, the bereaved families, the loves ones of those who died and the brotherly people of Turkey, and wish the swiftest possible recovery to the injured.
May Allah rest the souls of the dead in peace!".
