The time has come for local executive bodies to lure investments in Azerbaijan, said the country’s President Ilham Aliyev.
He made the remarks at a conference on the fourth year of implementation of the state program for socio-economic development of regions of Azerbaijan in 2014-2018, held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku.
“In the opening speech, I noted that this year investments are envisaged to be lured at least at the level of the previous year. Meanwhile, investments in the regions are, of course, very important for the implementation of regional development programs,” said the head of state.
“The state has played and will play its role. If there were no public investments, there would be no development in the country’s regions. In the opening speech, I touched upon this issue in sufficient detail, because as a result of the state’s investment policy in our regions, we can say that all infrastructure projects have been implemented and are being implemented,” said President Aliyev.
