President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia Rasim Ljajić.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia Rasim Ljajić.

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Rasim Ljajić congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of his birthday, and wished him success in his presidential activities and good health. Rasim Ljajić extended Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić`s greetings to the head of state. He said that the Serbia is looking forward to President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to Belgrade. Noting that the 5th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia was successfully held in Belgrade, the minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications underlined that the priority areas for the expansion of the bilateral cooperation were defined at the session.

The head of state said that Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić`s visit created good opportunity for discussing prospects of the bilateral ties. Recalling his contacts with the Serbian President as part of international events this year, President Ilham Aliyev pointed out that reciprocal visits at different levels are important in terms of expanding the bilateral relations.

It was noted that the bilateral relations have been developing successfully at the level of strategic partnership and effective work is being carried out to increase economic cooperation to the level of political relations. The sides said that cooperation between the two countries is developing dynamically in all areas, including infrastructure, agriculture, tourism and information-communication technologies.

The head of state thanked for President Aleksandar Vučić`s greetings and asked the deputy prime minister to extend his greetings to the Serbian President.
