In accordance with the rotation plan, a group of servicemen of the Azerbaijan Army, which served in Afghanistan within NATO-led "Resolute Support" mission, returned from Afghanistan to Baku, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry on Jan. 10.
The peacekeeping contingent of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces has been serving in Afghanistan since November 20, 2002.
Presently, 120 servicemen, including two medical officers and six staff officers of Azerbaijani army are participating in the mission in Afghanistan.
