No problems were registered during the voting in the presidential elections in Ukraine, Azerbaijani MP Rufat Guliyev told Trend.

Guliyev noted that he had observed the elections in 15 polling stations. "We also talked with local observers. They also said that there were no problems during the electoral process. The population showed a high interest in the elections," he said.

Azerbaijani MP Nagif Hamzayev, who participated in the process as part of the PACE observation mission, also observed the presidential election in Ukraine.

The head of the working group on Azerbaijani-Ukrainian inter-parliamentary relations, Rufat Guliyev, observed the elections through being sent by the Azerbaijani Parliament.

After the processing of 97.04 percent of the protocols, the candidate for the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky leads the elections with 73.15 percent of the vote. The incumbent head of state, Petro Poroshenko, was supported by 24.52 percent of voters.
