A telephone conversation between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has been held, the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Trend.
During the phone talk, the parties discussed the latest situation in the region, the signing of a trilateral statement on a complete ceasefire and military operations, the withdrawal of the Armenian Armed Forces from the districts of Azerbaijan based on UN Security Council resolutions, the return of an internally displaced person to their homes, the implementation of humanitarian exchanges, as well as those related to communications, including the construction of new lines of communication.
Josep Borrell highly appreciated the signing on November 10 of a trilateral statement by the president of Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister of Armenia, and the president of Russia.
Borrell noted the importance of ensuring its implementation and stressed the need for continued dialogue between the sides.
