BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. A list of 62 Azerbaijani soldiers who went missing in the Farrukh height [in Azerbaijan's Khojaly district during the first Karabakh war] has been prepared, Ismayil Akhundov, secretary of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing People, said, Trend reports.

According to Akhundov, the list is at the disposal of the Military Prosecutor's Office.

He noted that as a result of the search, the remains of about 60 individuals were found and submitted for DNA examination.

Besides, according to him, Armenia handed over the remains of persons who went missing during the first Karabakh war [in the 1990s].

So far, the remains of three people have been found in the village of Farrukh. Searches in these areas will continue, the commission’s representative further said.

Akhundov also noted that human remains were also found in the Fuzuli district’s Ashaghi Seyidahmadli village. Since these territories weren’t completely cleared of mines, the remains haven’t yet been completely removed from the territory.

Once the area is cleared of mines, these remains will also be taken and handed over to the families of these individuals after identification. The identification process will take several months, he added.
