The opening ceremony of the Marketing Agency in Gazakh with participation of U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Rino Harnish, under th USAID-financed business support project in Azerbaijan, was held on Wednesday, Trend reports.
At present 4 similar centers function in Azerbaijan, while 3 centers more will be opened in Guba, Zagatala and Shaki. The U.S. government allotted US $ 90m for the implementation of the business support project in Azerbaijan.
In a meeting with the local journalists Harnish said Madelene Albright and adviser to the Secretary of State on global issues, Pole Dobriyanski, would visit Azerbaijan in July. The key objective of the visit is to conduct monitoring on the eve of the parliamentary elections. Albright will also lead the U.S. observation mission in the parliamentary elections.
Harnish underlined that the U.S. government allotted US $5m to ensure safe elections.
