According to him, the most complicated and important issue the PTV faces, which will launch its operation in August is selection of the professional staff. Mamedli said, that professionalism, impartiality, objectivity would be preferred.

Touching upon the issue of difference between the PTV informational service and other TV channels in this field, Mamedli said, that although he would not like to compare with other TV channels, the rivalry arises in any case.

According to him, the PTV distinction from other channels in terms of the content, importance, truth will be unavoidable. Mamedli said, they would not drive for the populist information. In rivalry, in his opinion, the preference will be given to the competent information.

The department head informed, that he would propose for the informational department to work not immediately after the PTV commences its operating, but in September.

According to him, the summer season is not the time for the informational sources to work actively, therefore he will raise the issue before the Broadcasting Council and the director general for the informational department to set to work in September with more important news.
