In January to May 2005 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 3729,300 tons from offshore and onshore fields, or 2,500 tons down than 2004. OIl and gas production units (OGPU) lifted 3329,900 tons of oil, or 22,900 tons down as compared to 2004. In January to May 2005 foreign companies under joint enterprises and operation companies (OC), production of hydrocarbons from the onshore fields with participation of the SOCAR, produced 399,400 tons of oil, 20,400 tons more than 2004. In January to May 2005 the total gas production in Azerbaijan made up 2083.7 million cu m of gas, or 21.4 million cu m less than 2004.
The SOCAR produced 1587.4 million cu m of gas, or 24.9 million cu m down as compared to 2004. The JVs and OCs produced 46.8 million cu m of gas in this period, or 9.7 million cu m less than 2004. The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) produced 449.5 million cu m of associated gas, or 13.2 million cu m of fuel more than 2004.

In January to May 2005 Azerneftyag and Heydar Aliyev oil refinery factories increased production of major oil products as compared to similar period of 2004. Production of petrol increased 8.5%, aviation kerosene вЂ" 16.1%, fuel mazut вЂ" 5.2%, diesel fuel вЂ" 12.3%, oil bitumen вЂ" 37.4%, naphta вЂ" 25.8%. The production of lubricants dropped 17.3%.

In January to May
Azerneftyag oil refinery factory exported 413,200 tons of different types of oil products in January to May of 2005, Trend reports.
SOCAR told the export oil products included 326,000 tons of diesel fuel, 11,000 tons of bitumen, 14,400 tons of engine fuel and 7,700 tons of lubricants.
In May Azerneftyag exported a total of 130,900 tons of different types of oil products. It included 70,100 tons of diesel fuel, 3,700 tons of bitumen, 2,200 tons of engine fuel, 0,900 tons of different lubricants.

Azerenergy produced over 9,95 billion kW/hour of energy in 2004. Hydropower stations produced 1,218 million kW/hour of energy, while the thermo-power stations вЂ" 8.6bn KW/h

In January to May of 2005 Azerchemya increased production of some chemical products in regard to relevant period of 2004. According to the State Statistics Committee, production of nitrogen grew (+14.4%), chlorine oxide (+72%) and caustic sodium (+8.9%)
