In January to May 2005 10616.5bn manats has been invested in the Azerbaijani economy ($2186,399m at average exchange rate of 4855.7 AzM/USD/), or 14.5% up the amount of investments for January to March 2004.

In 2004 actual investments comprised 24196.6bn manats ($4924,413m manats) with growth pace of 36.1%.

The forecast investments for 2005 constitute 22914.2bn manats ($4652.6m at average exchange rate of 4925 AzM/USD/), and actual investments in this period made up 46,331% of the forecast.

In January to May 2843.3bn manats ($585,559m) has been invested at the expense of internal sources, which comprises 40,619% of the 2005 exact forecast of 7000bn manats ($1421.3m).

The foreign investments comprised 7773.2bn manats ($1600,84m), 48,844% of exact forecast of 15914.2bn manats ($3231.3m).

Major investing sources in January to March were enterprises (9408.8bn manats with a cut of 13.4%), bank credits (523.5bn manats with a rise of 12.4 times), community funds (336.3bn manats with a rise of 30.7%), budget funds (207.4bn manats with a rise of 89.1%).
