AZERBAIJAN, EGYPT TO DEVELOP AGENDA OF 2ND MEETING OF INTERGOV’T COMMISSION ON ECONOMIC CO-OP

The Azerbaijani and Egyptian experts will adjust the agenda of the 2nd meeting of the Azerbaijani-Egyptian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation at the forthcoming meeting to be held in Cairo from 25 to 29 July.

The experts are to develop and accord the agenda of the next meeting of

the Commission and the draft agreements to be signed during the meeting.

Some bilateral draft documents on the development of commercial and economic, and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt are ready. The documents cover development of the cooperation in sphere of agriculture, trade, industry, medicine, culture. Part of them has been accorded, but some items are to be changed.

The meeting of the Commission, which will also consider opportunities of the increase of the goods turnover between two countries, will be held in autumn of 2005.

The 1st meeting of the Commission was held in October 2002. The co-cairs if the commisison are Farhad Aliyev, Azerbaijan, and and Faiza Abul, Egypt.
