On Wednesday the U.S. Senate adopted the budget of assignments for the US Department of State for 2006 in the amount of $32bn.
The budget supported by senators envisages $565m under the article of assistance to former Soviet republics.
The budget assigns $35m for Azerbaijan under the program on assistance to the development of democracy and economic reforms. $85m is allocated for Russia, $15m вЂ" for Belorus, $95m вЂ" for Ukraine, $75m вЂ" Armenia, $70.5m вЂ" Georgia, $35m вЂ" Kyrgzystan, $28.5m- Uzbekistan, $28m вЂ"Kazakhstan, $25m вЂ" Tajikistan, $20m вЂ" Moldova, $6.5m вЂ" Turkmenistan.
