The criminal group consisted of the residents of Azerbaijan, Chechnya, Dagestan, Turkey and Yemen was detained in Baku, according to the Central Polis Department of Baku and Office of Public Prosecutor.
The employees of the Nasimi District Polis Precinct requested the suspicious passengers in the VAZ-21099 car, stopped in front of house 5 by Asif Maharramov Str., to show documents. One of them fired from Makarov gun and wounded Movlan Alibayov, junior inspector of the drug division.
The employees of the division disarmed Arif Hajiyev and Emil Ahverdiyev, born in Baku in 1976 and unemployed, confiscated the gun and 15 cartridges, and took them to the Nasimi District Polis Precinct.
AK-74 machine gun, 4 chargers, 2 hand grenades, 14 cartridges for 9 mm gun, 1 knife, 2 mobile phones, 3 sets of military cloth, 1 TSM-700 noctovisor, 1 box of explosive were revealed at the car, while NATO military cloth, 100 cartridges and other equipment were found at the rented flat.
The employees of the Central Polis Department of Baku, Office of Public Prosecutor, Nasimi District Polis Precinct and district division of the National Security Ministry determined other relations of the group as a result of joint operations.
Berko Aslan Khasanovich, Islamov Isa Azrailovich, Asadullayev Jembek Yunaitovich, Chechen by nationality, Gaziyev Arsen Yunisovich, the resident of Dagestan, Dalka Faruk Salami, the Turkish origin, Muhammad Ahmad Salim Hamdam, born in Yemen, were detained and took to the Nasimi District Polis Precinct.
The investigation is underway.
