The official visit of the Ukrainian President Victor Yushenko to Azerbaijan will take place on the eve of the parliamentary elections in the country, the charge d’affaires of Ukraine in Azerbaijan Victor Kesima told the news conference on 17 August, Trend reports.
According to him, the sides are currently actively preparing for the forthcoming visit, the talk’s agenda is getting ready, a package of documents to be signed during the visit is being coordinated.
The documents cover the cooperation development in the agrarian sphere, in the scientific-production activities, as well as the in the oil and gas sphere, the diplomat reported.
According to him, the Ukrainian side found it expedient to hold the business forum and the next sitting of the commission on the economic cooperation in Baku within the upcoming visit of the Ukrainian President.
Kezima reported also, the leadership of Ukraine is currently studying the issue of appointing the new Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan.
