Earlier the ALP planned to nominate candidates from all 125 constitincies of the country, but the members of the party faced some problems with their participation in the election compaign, so they had to reduce the list of the candidates, said the head of the party, noting that the problems were linked with the issue of ID cards almost part of the electors, candidates and their authorized representatives.

The instructions of the Central Election Commission (CEC) on opening of special electoral accounts, their calculation, the terms of spending and receiving means from the electoral funds of the political parties and the candidates’, set on 8 July 2005, also produces some problems.

The ALP protested against publication of instructions when 20 days were left till the deadline for the presentation of documents for registration as candidates.

Besides, artificial account of the party was established in the local branch of Kapital’ bank, which evolved some problems for the ALP in nominating the candidates. “Nevertheless, the ALP has already presented the documents of 75 candidates to the CEC”, said Temirkan, noting that the ALP published the general list of candidates on Friday.
