В"I hope the elections process in Azerbaijan will coincide democratic norms,В" the U.S. diplomat underlined, noting the steps taken in the country for organization of transparent and fair elections in the country.
In particular, on 11 May 2005 President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on вЂ�Improvement of Elections PracticeвЂ™, as well as removal of previous convictions from the opposition leaders, convicted in connection with the participation in the 15-16 October 2004 mass public disorder.
The same time Harnish noted that today 17 candidates fell no each constituency in the country. Major political players are the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) and opposition bloc Azadlyg (Liberty) publicized the list of candidates to MP.
