MEETING ON DELIMITATION AND DEMARCATION OF AZERBAIJANI-GEORGIAN BORDER COMPLETED IN BAKU

The 7- th meeting of the state commissions of Azerbaijan and Georgia on delimitation and demarcation of the state border finished its work on 31 August. A final protocol was adopted on completion the meeting, the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan told Trend.

A two-day meeting took place in the building of the Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry. The Georgia’s government delegation headed by the Foreign Ministry’s special envoy Malhaz Mikeladze took part in the sitting. The chairman of the Azerbaijan’s part of the commission is deputy Foreign Minister Halaf Halafov.

The subject matter of the discussion for the parties were 19 sub-sections of the state border with the length of 480 km. Some sections were agreed upon, on some sections the work will be continued at the 8-th meeting in Tbilisi.
