Azerbaijan takes one of the leading places for rise of the ingoing tourists, which attains 25-30%, Abulfaz Garayev, the Minister for Youth, Sports and Tourism, told in his opening remarks to the exhibition on internal tourism which opened in Baku on Saturday, Trend reports.
According to Garayev, the show, organized for the first time in Azerbaijan, testifies or the stable development this sector in the country.
Over the past 3 years 52 tourist facilities have been built in the country, including the hotels, rest centers.
Only in summer season in 2005 over 500,000 people rested in different rest center of Azerbaijan.
Around 50 companies participate in the exhibition dedicated to the International Tourism Day.
Organized by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism the exhibition will display the products and services.
During the show three rest centers located in Nabran were issues star-certificates.
