Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will participate in the forthcoming 18th meeting on the status of the Caspian Sea in Baku from 6 to 7 October, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs told Trend.
The meting to be held in the level of Deputy Interior Ministers will be opened at Hyatt Park hotel on 7 October at 10.00am. The experts will hold news conference on the results of the meeting at the same hotel on 7 October at 12.35pm.
The experts will continue the work on ecological problems; unify the positions of the countries on the status of the Caspian Sea and agreements on use and protection of bio-resources, hydrometeorology, maritime and military shipping. Azerbaijan is represented by Khalaf Khalafov, the Deputy Interior Minister, also special representative of the President on determination of the status of the Caspian Sea.
