“BAKU READY FOR ORGANIZATION OF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP,” BRUNO GRANDE

“I liked preparations for World Calisthenics Championship in Baku,” Bruno Grande, the head of the FIG, said to a news conference at the beginning of the competitions.

The President of the organizations noted that the only problem the FIG could face with during the competitions was work of referees and new rules system. “The referees must work rightly and fairly appreciate the play of any sportswoman. Referees must forget chauvinism,” he added. Grande stressed that he would personally control work of referees.

In her turn, Egle Abruzini, the head of the FIG Technical Committee, underlined that the World championship would come as a real test for new rules. “Some changes may be injected into the rules after the mundial. Therefore, the competitions in Baku will be demonstrative event on many parameters,” she stressed.
