Meeting of the Caspian littoral states presidents may take place shortly, deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov told journalists, Trend reports.
According to him, the idea exists long and for its implementation certain preparation is needed. ”The meeting of presidents bears usually extraordinary character and such meetings play historical roles in solution of definite issues. The task group and relevant structures are to conduct important and substantial work and prepare the basis for such meeting”, he noted.
According to Khalafov, this idea is expressed also by the other Caspian states delegations. “It is needed now the decision of the heads of states and agreeing the dates for the meeting”, deputy Minister said.
