В"Рђzerbaijan pursues the right policy towards the Turkish Republic of the Northern Cyprus (TRNC), a political analyst Vafa Guluzade told Trend.
The ground for such remarks from the political scientist became the statement of the European Union (EU) commissar on foreign relations Benito Ferrero-Waldner that the institution she represents condemns the position of Azerbaijan in regard to TRNC and in case this policy is continued the New Neighborhood Policy towards Azerbaijan will be suspended.
The political analyst said also, Azerbaijan set up bilateral relations with Finland, Great Britain, France and other counties, the EU members, despite Azerbaijan is not member of the organization. В"EU closed the road for TRNC. EU does not want other countries to cooperate with them. The official Baku is on the right road. EU cannot influence Azerbaijan in any way in this issue”, Guluzade said.
Zardusht Alizade, another political analyst noted, Azerbaijan, from one part wants to join EU, from the other comes out against the institutions’ principles. В"However, I do not think EU will take any dangerous step against Azerbaijan”, Alizade said.
A political analyst Gabil Huseynli said, there is truth in the EU commissar’s statement.
