В"The last statement of the USA State Department on ensuring the freedom of assemblies in Azerbaijan is not directed against the authorities at all”, a member of the New Azerbaijan (YAP) Party’s political council, a Milli Mejlis (MM) deputy Aydin Mirzazade told Trend.
The Azadlig block appreciated highly the last statement of the US State Department. Mirzazade noted, the statement does not support the opposition, they merely give a general view of events in the country and there is a call to respect the freedom of assemblies. В"There are no problems in Azerbaijan in this respect. As one can see from the statement, there is no critic towards the authorities, they simply express concern on the situation related to the mass actions”, Mirzazade said.
The YAP functionary also noted the USA is the strategic ally of Azerbaijan. The US supports the development, democracy in our country. President Ilham Aliyev also said about it not once. В"The opposition is engaged in holding unauthorized mass actions, seeks for the support abroad. The responsibility for confrontations with the police forces during such actions lies also with the opposition”, the deputy said.
