�BUILDERS OF CIVIL SOCIETY’ BLOC INTENDS TO BOYCOTT ELECTIONS

“The �Builders of Civil Society’ election bloc intends to boycott the elections,” Yashar Jafarli, the head of the Central Headquarters of the bloc, told Trend .

According to Jafarli, he came out with this proposal at the meeting of the Chairmen Council of the �Builders of Civil Society’ on Friday. The meeting decided the issue at the next meeting to be held on 14 October due to absence of Isgandar Hamidov, the head of the bloc, also chairman of the Azerbaijan National Democratic Party (ANDP).

According to Hamidov, 44 candidates of the bloc meet with pressure and different hinders in the election campaign. There was attack on the headquarters of the bloc, the party was deprived of apartment. “We don’t believe that the elections will be democratic in such conditions,” he added.
