PARTY LEADERS SPEAK ON AZADLYG BLOC’S WILL ON ORGANIZATION OF UNSANCTIONED RALLY

We estimate the attempts by Azadlyg, a big opposition alliance, for holding a rally as the will of raising resistance in society on the eve of the parliamentary elections, said the leaders of the Reforms elections bloc - Mammad Alizada, the chairman of Democratic World of Azerbaijan Party, Kamil Seyidov, the chairman of the Free Republican Party, Subut Asadov, the chairman of the Republican Party, and Elshan Musayev, the chairman of the Democratic Enlightenment Party.

Mais Safarli, the chairman of Yurddash party, stated that the attempts for staging unsanctioned rally by Azadlyg bloc are not the demand of the day. “Now all political forces are preparing for elections. The opposition attaches great importance to street rallies. It must be prevented,” he underlined.

Sabir Rustamkhanly, the chairman of the Civil Solidarity Party, noted the time of the unsanctioned street demonstrations passed. “Now it is necessary to give preference to civilized methods of fighting. The rally should be staged within the frames of the law. It is impossible to achieve anything through hand-to-hand fighting with police,” he underlined.

Vugar Beyturan the chairman of the Turkic Nationalist Party, Fuad Aliyev, the chairman of the Liberal-Democratic Party, Gudrat Hassanguliyev, the chairman of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan Party, came out against the organization of the unsanctioned rally.

Referring to the law on Freedom of assembly, Hajiaga Nuri, the chairman of the Islamic Party, and Tahir Karimli, the chairman of Vahdat party, noted that the authorities should offer necessary conditions for staging rallies.
