DONALD TUSK LEADS IN VOTING IN BAKU FOR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN POLAND

“Donald Tusk leads in the voting in Baku for the presidential elections in Poland,” Darush Kaminskiy, the Polish Consul in Azerbaijan, told Trend .

According Kaminskiy, 28 electors came to election precinct in Baku on the elections day with majority who supported Tusk. These were the Polish people, who temporarily work in the diplomatic mission, in different companies and enterprises of Azerbaijan. Their total number reaches around 70, the diplomat noted.

According to the State Elections Commission of Poland, after the processing of 90% of ballot papers Tusk, the leader of the right liberal party �Civil Platform’, gained 35.82% of all votes. He is followed by Lech Kaczynski, mayor of Warsaw, a member of Right and Justice with 33.29%, Andrzej Lepper, the chairman of the Self-Defense party, with 15.56% of votes and Marek Borowski, the leader of Polish Socio-democrats with 0.19%.

The second round of the elections will be held with in a fortnight the consul underlined.
