CANDIDATES REQUIRING USE OF MARKING PAINT TO APPLY TO PRESIDENT

Over 160 candidates joined the campaign on collecting signatures of the candidates requiring the use of the marking paint at the elections. The candidates demand implementing the principle “one elector-one vote” and preventing falsification of the elections, the Azadlig election block told Trend. There was an appeal to all candidates and the campaign on collection of signatures launched.

Over 160 persons who put their signatures under the appeal are mostly the candidates of the Azadlig (Freedom), Milli Birlik (National Unity), Yeni Siyaset (New Policy) and other political parties, including the independent candidates involved in the elections individually.

The signature collecting campaign will finish during the current week and there will be an appeal to the country’s President Ilham Aliyev, to the Central Election Committee (CEC), to the OSCE, the Council of Europe and other international institutions offices.
