AZERBAIJAN, TURKEY INTEND EXPAND ECONOMIC RELATIONS

The prospect of the cooperation in bilateral, regional and global economic projects was discussed at the economic consultations of the Azerbaijani and the Turkish Foreign Ministries. The consultations were held under leadership of Mahmud Mammadguliyev, the Deputy Foreign Minister, and his Turkish counterpart Ender Arat, the press centre of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Trend.

The sides discussed the items of the action plan on implementation of long-term agreement on economic cooperation. The event concerned on the construction of the railway Kars-Akhalkalaki-Р'aku, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum. The sides also considered the prospect of the cooperation between Azerbaijani and Turkish businessmen, further cooperation within the Economic Cooperation Organization, Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization and ways of Azerbaijan’s joining the World Trade Organization.
