The second report on Azerbaijan by the observers of the OSCE/Office for Democratic Institutes and Human Rights will be publicized late this October, Baku office of the international observation mission of the OSCE/ODIHR told Trend.
The mission said that the international observers held active observation mission in the regions of the country. In accordance with the last resolution, experts were dispatched for study of the pre-election situation.
The first preliminary report was publicized on 30 September. The document noted that since the remaining recommendations of 2003, 2004 and 2005 have not been duly taken into consideration, the examined law does not fully meet OSCE commitments and Council of Europe standards for democratic elections proposals by the OSCE/ODIHR and Venice Commission.
