“We discussed signing of cooperation between the blocs Azadlig (Freedom) and Yeni Siyasat (New Policy) at the Coordination Council. Most of the members of the council regarded the cooperation as inexpedient. However, there is no agreement on some principal issues in the draft agreement,” Ali Aliyev, the chairman of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party, also a member of the Coordination bloc of the bloc, told Trend.
He noted that the blocs did come to agreement on the joint post-election struggle. According to Aliyev, the position of the blocs in methods of post-election struggle is different. “If the elections are falsificated, one bloc will turn decesive street struggle, other will decide it with constituencies in peaceful way. There is no agreement in relation to majoritary form of the elections i.e. the results of the elections may differ on every,” he added.
Aliyev stressed that the members of �Yeni Siyasat’ bloc coming out against consclusion of agreement with �Azadlig’ explained it with the prior election practice. He underlined that if the sides did not come to agreement on the methods of the post-election struggle they would exclude the item from the agreement.
