The 54th meeting of the CIS Council of Frontier Troops Commanders will be held
in Dushanbe from 18 to 21 October. The agenda includes around 15 issues, the CIS Executive Committee told Trend.
The commanders will consider prospect of cooperation within the Commonwealth, particularly, formation of national data bases and organization of interstate exchange of information on prevention of illegal border cross, draft regulations on strengthening of measures to prevent illegal transit of arm, drug and psychotropic substances, as well as nuclear waste. The agenda also includes regulation of illegal migration, prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism.
Azerbaijan will be presented at the event by Elchin Guliyev, the head of the State frontier Service.
