“In case of necessity the Ukrainian Interior Ministry could be attracted to the extradition of Azerbaijani ex-Speaker, the chairman of the Azerbaijani Democratic Party,” Igor Kizima, the charge d’affaires of the Ukrainian embassy in Baku, told Trend.
According to Kizima, in this stage the issue resolved on the level of Interior Ministries and Interpol. “International legal documents on the interaction of countries in extradition of criminals exist in CIS and obviously, Ukraine will observe them,” the diplomat noted.
The Ukrainian Interior Minister, Yuriy Lutsenko, has recently told journalists that a resolution on extradition would be adopted b the Prosecutor General’s Office and Interior Ministry of Ukraine.
