Baku city authorities rejects an appeal on sanctioning rally shculed by buggest opposition alinace

The Baku City Executive Power did not allow the Azadlyg bloc, a biggest opposition alliance in the country, to hold a rally on Sunday on the routes they offered, the Mayoral Office of Balu told Trend.

The Mayoral Office did not consider as expedient to allow Azadlyg bloc to rally in the routes they offered, including Azadlyg, Jafar Jabbarly, and Fizuli squares, the squares around Nariman Narimanov and Ganjlik subway stations, in front of the National Academy of Sciences. The resolution was taken due to dense population of the areas and heavy traffic.

For the next time the executive power gave a similar reply to the appeal and proposed several route for rally, including Motodrom, Galaba square, Ukrainian square and stadium of Azerneftyag plant.

Azadlyg bloc said that they would not agree with the reply of the Mayoral Office and the route proposed them ad would really hear Jafar Jabbarly square, hear �28 May’ subway station on Sunday (23 October).
