The Monday plenum of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan considered the issue on cancellation of the sentence issued by the Central Elections Commission (CEC),on the case of Hajiaga Nuri, the leader of Azerbaijan Islamic Party, the Supreme Court told Trend СЃСѓРґР°.
The gathering considered the civil case on demand for registration of Nuri’s candidacy and rejected a resolution by the cassation instances of the court and a sentence by the Court of Appeal. It was resolved to pass the case to the Court of Appeal for repeated consideration.
Eldar Nuriyev, the Deputy Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, was also in attendance.
