Workshop-meeting was held for the IT-specialists, working at constituency committees, at the �Election’ information center functioning under the Central Election Committee. Igbal Babayev, the Director of the Center, informed the specialists about their duties and the rules of the elections, Trend reports.
Babayev noted that technical inventory was successfully completed at 125 committee and they were provided with computers last week. He spoke about use of State Automated Information System in the elections. According to Babayev, during the parliamentary elections of 2000 they dispatched 300 IT-specialists from Baku to constituencies, while in 2005 they used only local ones. The protocols of the precinct committees will be sent to the CEC through the State Automated Information System. “The computer cabinets must be open and every citizen can control reception and sending of data, as well as get familiar with the process.
Then the employees of the Center informed the specialists about their official functions, software used on the voting day and business schedule of the Center.
