The final results of voting will be announced the next day after the elections, on 7 November, at 19.00 p.m., the head of the “Elections” information centre of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of Azerbaijan Igbal Babayev told Trend.
He noted, on the voting day, on 6 November, the information from the constituency committees will come to the information centre 5 times a day (at 10.00, 12.00, 15.00, 17.00, and 19.00). According to Babayev, the voting will finish at 19.00, thereafter the ballot-boxes will be opened and counting of protocols will start. During 3-4 hours preliminary results of voting will be known in each polling station. For final results all protocols are to be brought to CEC the next day by 19.00 p.m., thereafter the results of voting will be announced.
Babayev also noted, from 8.00 a.m. till 19.00 p.m. on 7 November the media representatives will be able to follow the voting process, the votes counting, dispatching of protocols and announcement of results at the information centre.
