The increase of the defense expenditures by Azerbaijan is related in the first line to the Armenian continuation to arm, the Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Safar Abiyev said in his talk with journalists, Trend reports.
According to the defense department head, the official Baku seeks to keep the military parity in the region. В"Baku only seeks to balance the military potential in the region”, Abiyev noted, stressing that the armed forces of Azerbaijan must be ready to liberate the occupied lands in any moment.
В"The occupied lands must be liberated unambiguously. If the peace talks end with no result, our Army must liberate the homelands by all means”, the Minister underlined.
Speaking on the cases of the cease-fire regime violation Abiyev noted, no one has the right to blame Baku in anything. В"Рђzerbaijan is in the state of war with Armenia. Our troops unlike the Armenian ones are stationed on their own areas. Everybody must understand it”, Abiyev stated.
