The chairman of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov met on 31 October with the deputy chairman of the PACE Committee on legal and human rights issues Eduard Lintner and the deputy of the German Parliament Verner Muench, CEC told Trend.
The foreign guests showed interest in the pre-election situation in Azerbaijan, preparations to the elections, registration of candidates and etc.
Panahov met also with the head of the OSCE monitoring mission in Azerbaijan Gert Arens. The CEC chairman noted, the requirements addressed to CEC in the last OSCE report do not correspond to reality. Panahov noted also, the document did not cover the opinions of all sides and based mostly on the information of the opposition.
