“The police have been properly instructed with regard to preserve the public order on the elections day on 6 November,” Yashar Aliyev, the head of the Central Police Department, told Trend.
“The police is fully ready to overcome any resistance and defend public order on the elections day. Police posts have been established near the precinct elections commissions. The work in this direction is complete,” Aliyev underlined.
He also noted that the key objective of the intensified regime is to remove any provocation by some forces on the voting day.
