Media Council & �Ruh’ Committee to publicize report on monitoring of journalist activities after 20.00pm

“The Media Council and �Ruh’ Committee on Protection of Journalists follow the activities of journalist on the voting day,” Aflatun Amashov, the chairman of the Media Council, told Trend.

He noted that the group of observers included 5 people from �Ruh’ and over 10 employees of the Media Council. According to Amashov, the Committee established hot line (499-02-92) for notification of the violations committed by journalists on the voting day.

Amashov noted that as of 16.00pm they did not receive facts on serious violations by journalists. Only the contributor of �Musavat’ newspaper was prevented from shooting the photo in election station. The Committee revealed that he faced with hindrance as observers, but not as journalist. According to Amashov, the violations marked by observers will be injected into the report of the Media Council and �Ruh’ Committee. The initial report will be publicized after 20.00pm on 6 November.
