Intensified work regime of police to be prolonged, Deputy Interior Minister says

Intensified work regime of the police, announced by the Azerbaijani Interior Minister, Ramil Usubov, on the eve of the 6 November parliamentary elations, will be maintained. It is linked with the investigation in t the facts of violations of the elections legislation on the elections day, Trend quotes Asgar Alekperov, the Deputy Interior Minister of Azerbaijan, as saying to journalists.

“There is a definite group of people dissatisfied with the results of the elections, which could be used for violation of the public disorder,” Alekperov said, adding the irresponsible calls sounded over the past few days.

“Taking into consideration the above said I’d like to note that the intensified work regime, which at the Interior Minister’s order was to complete on 10 November 2005, will be prolonged. He said that employees of the law-enforcement bodies will take every effort to preserve the stability in the country.
