NAP holds rally in relation to victory in parliamentary elections

The ruling New Azerbaijan party (NAP) held a rally in Galaba square on Thursday at 15.00pm in relation to the victory in the 6 November parliamentary elections. The rally started with the national anthem, Trendreports.

In his remarks, Ali Ahmadov, the Executive Secretary of the NAP, congratulated the Azerbaijani nation on the victory in the parliamentary elections. “he reason for the victory was the policy persued by Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani president, confidence of the nation in the head of the country,” he added.

In his turn, Ziyafat Asgarov, the Vice-Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), stated that the NAP knew that they would win in the elections beforehand, as the party pursued the policy of the Azerbaijani President.

Rabiyat Aslanova, the activist of the NAP, reported that they would not changed Azerbaijan’s flag for other one. “The opposition held a rally under the orange flag in the square yesterday. Therefore, the NAP enjoys the trust of the nation,” she stressed.

The rally ended with firework at 17.00pm. Ali Hassanov, the head of the Public-Political Division of the President’s Apparat, said to journalists that the number of the participants of the rally was 40,000.
