The opposition must clarify the reasons for the defeat in the parliamentary elections instead of accusation in regard to the authorities. It was voiced at the event of the International Karabakh Fund on elections and further prospect of Azerbaijan, held on Friday, Trend reports.
In his remarks, Nuraddin Mustafayev, the opposition candidate from Ganja constituency 40, noted that 80% of the people balloted from the opposition parties did not have authority among the population. According to Mustafayev, they lost due to lack of unity.
Yavar Husseynov, the plenipotentiary of the Azerbaijan National Democratic Party, reacted to the speech by Mustafayev inadequately that led to dispute between the sides.
Eldar Husseynov balloted from Khojali-Khojavand constituency 124, mentioned importance of democratic reforms among the opposition parties. Avaz Temirkhan, the chairman of the Executive Committee of the Liberal party, and other participants of the event noted that the elections were falsified by authorities.
