PACE committees to discuss results of parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan

The session of the PACE Monitoring Group will be held in Paris on 23 November to discuss the results of the parliamentary elctions in Azerbaijan. The session will start with opening remarks of Rene Van der Linden, the PACE President, the CE secretariat told Trend.

The agenda also includes the issues of the situations in Slovakia and Latvia, abrogation of the death penalty in Russia and the results of the recent monitoring in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The same time, the session of the PACE Standing Commission will be held in Bucharest on 25 November to consider the results of the 6 November parliamentary elections.

Dutch MP Leo Platvoet, the head of the PACE Monitoring Delegation on Parliamentary Elections in Azerbaijan, will deliver a report at the session.

The participants of the session will hold exchange of opinions with Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu, the Rumanian Foreign Minister.
